Manufacturer quotes are usually padded with additional options or add-ons which many times are not necessary and contribute to significant over spending.

We often see gas generators, power distribution units, specialty gas purification, detector upgrades, etc included on quotes when the site has infrastructure already in place or won’t ever utilize the upgrade in the expected workflow.

In addition, the options or upgrades that would benefit the workflow are not included and limits the ability of the lab to fully maximize the instrument potential and investment.
